It is a rather simple pattern with two row repeating many times. They increase and then decrease, thus making a square, or the two triangles. However, it took me ages to do the rows correctly so that the edges were very straight. It was worth it.

Diagonal Delights- Pattern for Sale I used 5 skeins of Red Heart's Lustersheen yarn in their Cherry Red color.

The newest crochet stitch to appear in the world of crochet is the Crocodile Stitch by Lianka Azulay. These gauntlets were gifts to my two friends, Carol Fish and Cathy Wilcox-Barnes for Christmas.

This pattern is available through Annie's Attic. Buy the book because you will love this Crocodile Stitch and you'll eagerly make the shawl, too!

Few crocheted scarf patterns interest me, but this one by Lilly Knitting and sold at e-Patterns.com was a visual challenge. It was a crochet challenge, too, but only because I mentally made it complex. After I charted the pattern onto paper it became a lot easier. So, challenge yourself and make one, too!

Ever since I made fluffy-flip-flops for my granddaughters, I wanted some too! K-Mart had these Joe Boxer flip-flops available so I bought them and single crocheted over the straps with fluffy yarn. I made Mom a pair, too, but being 82 she said she would prefer a lower, of flat, heel. Can't blame her for that.

Daniel Jacob Milligan's 8th Grade Graduation Gift

In this photograph you can see the "D" and "N" monogrammed in the bear's feet. Of course, this bear was crocheted and hooked with love.

On the left side of the photograph is a shadow box in which there is a gold filled Wahl-Eversharp mechanical pencil. It was given to Willy S. Correll, my maternal grandfather, in 1913 by his 8th grade school teacher after he passed his 8th grade exams. Now, Danny has this family heirloom to keep safely and to share with the next generations.

Hacky Sacks. Why? Grandson enlisted in the U.S. Marines on June 30th, 2010. When he is deployed, I will have enough hacky sacks to send to his entire group. I could worry, but it seems better to help him enjoy his adventure.

Item 1 & 2 are too large at 3.5" and 3" respectively. Item 3 is pefect for the U.K. size foot bag. Items 4 & 5 are 2" across and just fine for our USA (hacky sack) foot bag.

Here's all the gifts, handmade and ready to be shipped in early December 2009. Each granddaughter, RiLeigh and Aaliyah, will have 1 shrug, 1 purse, 1 wash cloth, 1 eyeglass case with sunglasses inside, many head bands and ponytail holders, and fuzzy flip-flops. The teddy bears are store-bought.
